I Tried the Top AI Meeting Notetakers; Here’s Why Fellow Won
Summary: Fellow is an AI meeting assistant and notetaker that records, transcribes, and summarizes meetings across Zoom, Teams, and Google Meet. Fellow auto-records, transcribes in 99 languages, summarizes action items, assigns tasks, and secures data with SOC 2 Type II & HIPAA compliance.
This is my honest review of the Fellow AI Meeting Assistant, a tool I’ve used extensively and really like. I’ve tested it alongside other tools like Otter and Zoom’s built-in features, and Fellow consistently comes out ahead in both functionality and ease of use.
Today’s post covers how Fellow integrates with major meeting platforms, organizes meeting content, generates summaries and action items, supports multilingual transcription, and enables real-time collaboration.
I’ll also look at its security features, integrations with project management tools, and how it compares directly to other popular AI meeting notetaking apps.

Video Guide
Integration with major platforms
Fellow transcribes and summarizes meetings seamlessly within Zoom, Microsoft Teams, and Google Meet, and offers 50+ native integrations (Salesforce, Jira, Asana, Monday, Notion, HubSpot, Slack, Glean). It can automatically join your scheduled meetings and start recording. After the meeting, it provides a full transcription, making it easier to review or share with your team.
Structured meeting library
Every meeting recorded through Fellow is saved in a centralized library. You can organize these meetings into channels based on topics, teams, or projects. The dashboard also shows upcoming meetings and lets you access previous recordings, transcripts, and notes.
Probably my favorite Fellow function is that I can search across all my meetings for specific decisions, context, action items, and follow-ups with Ask Fellow. No more manual searching through old meetings to find that one elusive remark!

Meeting analysis and summaries
After each meeting, Fellow AI creates a detailed summary. This includes action items, decisions, and key discussion points. You’ll see a full transcript, a breakdown of who spoke and for how long, and have the option to add your own notes at any point in the conversation.
Task assignment and collaboration
Fellow AI automatically suggests action items based on the discussion. You can review each suggestion, accept or reject it, and assign it to the right person. If a task comes up during a meeting, you can assign it to someone directly through Fellow. They’ll get an email letting them know.
During meetings, team members can take shared notes in real time, which keeps everyone on the same page.
Multilingual transcription
Fellow transcribes meetings in 99 different languages! (This is way more than other platforms.) This feature is great for teams that work internationally or speak multiple languages during their calls.
Security features
Fellow includes security options that work well for teams and larger organizations. With an enterprise plan, admins can control what each user can access or edit. This helps protect sensitive information while still allowing for collaboration.
The small print: SOC 2 Type II, HIPAA, and GDPR compliant, with redaction, auto-delete, pause/resume, and zero AI training on customer data.
How it compares to other tools
Fellow AI offers several features that are missing from other tools like Otter or Zoom.
While Otter handles transcription, it does not record video. Neither does it organize meetings into searchable categories nor support task assignments. Zoom offers some transcription but doesn’t provide meeting summaries or decisions.
Fellow also includes a search function across all your meetings, which helps you find past outcomes quickly. More on that later!
Access and pricing
There’s a free plan available, so you can try Fellow’s core features without any commitment. This includes transcription, summaries, and the ability to assign tasks to your team.
The small print: Paid plans range from $7 to $25 per user monthly for full AI capabilities. You won’t find any per-minute limits or hidden “AI credit” models. Win!
