Are you encountering the frustrating “Path not tagged” error while assessing your document’s WCAG compliance using the PAC 2024 tool? Fear not! In today’s tutorial, I’ll guide you through the process of fixing this issue step by step.
Video Guide
First things first, open the PAC 2024 PDF accessibility checker and drag your document into the tester. Identify the “Path objects not tagged” error, which we’ll address today.
To fix this error, fire up Adobe Acrobat Pro DC and navigate to the Content panel. Expand the contents, and you’ll likely find a multitude of path objects, a common occurrence when converting documents into PDF format.
Select all the path tags, right-click, and choose “Create Artifacts.” In the dialog box that appears, select “Page” and hit OK. Save the file and return to the PAC tester.
After artifacting the paths, re-run the accessibility checker. You’ll notice a reduction in the number of errors, indicating progress in resolving the “Path not tagged” issue. However, additional errors may remain.
Don’t fret; tackle these remaining errors systematically, ensuring each issue is addressed to achieve optimal accessibility compliance.
