The Accessibility Fundamental Essentials series gives professionals practical, role-relevant training they can apply immediately. The first six courses include:
- Microsoft Word: Learn to create well-structured documents using accessible headings, links, lists, tables, and alternative text.
- Microsoft PowerPoint: Improve slide reading order, color contrast, titles, text, visuals, charts, and multimedia accessibility.
- Microsoft Excel: Build easier-to-navigate workbooks with clear worksheet names, understandable headers, accessible layouts, and descriptions for charts.
- PDF accessibility: Address tagging, reading order, headings, tables, links, alternative text, language settings, and bookmarks.
- Complex PDF content: Learn to remediate detailed tables, charts, sidebars, footnotes, and unusual layouts while preserving their meaning.
- Accessible PDF forms: Create forms with clear labels, logical tab order, keyboard access, understandable instructions, and accessible error messages.
Expand Learning Into Everyday Practice
The Accessibility Fundamental Essentials workshop series will continue to grow. New courses will cover Google Workspace, multimedia accessibility, and other tools employees use every day. Topics may include Google Docs, Sheets, and Slides, as well as captions, transcripts, audio descriptions, and accessible media players.
