PDF Spaces by Adobe Acrobat Pro DC | AI powered document analysis & collaboration
Today’s post explores PDF Spaces, a paid feature in Adobe Acrobat that lets you bring multiple documents into one workspace and interact with them more efficiently. Instead of opening files one at a time, you can upload PDFs and other sources, ask questions about the combined content, generate summaries, pull out key resources, and organize notes in one place.
For students, researchers, and professionals working with large sets of material, PDF Spaces offers a practical way to review information faster and manage documents with less friction.
Video Guide
What PDF Spaces Does
PDF Spaces creates a workspace where users combine documents and interact with them through AI chat. The assistant reads the uploaded materials and responds to questions based on the document content.
Ask the assistant to perform tasks such as:
Summarize major concepts
Extract references or resources
Explain key topics
Generate insights across multiple files
The assistant analyzes all documents in the project rather than one file at a time. This approach allows you to explore large sets of material quickly.
Work With Multiple Sources
PDF Spaces supports large collections of documents within a single project. Upload up to 100 sources and work with them together. (Note that PDF Spaces limits each uploaded file to 100 MB.)
Add files in several ways:
Upload files from a computer
Connect cloud files
Add links to documents
Drag and drop files into the workspace

The system supports PDFs and other document formats such as PowerPoint presentations. Teams can combine different training materials, reports, or reference documents inside one project.
The assistant reads the combined materials and responds to questions using the information found across the files.
Chat With Your Documents
After the system uploads a document, begin a conversation with it through the chat panel.
Type your request and the assistant scans the document and generates a structured response based on the content. Instead of reading slides one by one, you can ask direct questions and receive concise summaries.
This approach reduces the time required to review lengthy materials.
Other Cool Features
PDF Spaces includes built-in note tools that lets you capture references, ideas, and insights while reviewing documents. Export those notes as a PDF for sharing or storage.
You can also customize the AI assistant so responses can match the task at hand. Ask for a personal assistant, analyzer, instructor, entertainer, or add your own!
Accessibility and Learning Applications
PDF Spaces supports students with disabilities and other learners who work with complex materials.
Students can upload course content and interact with it through questions instead of scanning large documents manually. The assistant can generate summaries, identify resources, and explain difficult concepts.
This workflow places all study materials in one location and simplifies navigation across large document sets.
Professionals who manage large collections of documents can use PDF Spaces to speed up research and analysis, as well.
PDF Spaces turns static documents into interactive resources that you can explore through conversation and structured analysis.
